Will wearing a black coat in hunter/jumper shows count against a rider? - hunter boots sale 2010
I have a question about wearing a spectacle of Black Coat hunters in exhibitions. I bought a black jacket for my daughter, because I think it would look good with black boots and a black helmet. Later I learned that black is traditional for the dressage performances, but I see many hunters black coat for sale. My question is whether a judge to see, black and disadvantages can or not.

It depends on what you show circuit - I see a lot of black in the 4-H shows, but never in the "Raiders of the truth" / Bridgestone test.
Technically, the judge can not punish a turn a bit unusual, or clothes, if so authorized by the rule book. The USEF rulebook says that the hunters competitors must be marked "true red or black" black clothes and safe to be unclear. This is not just in fashion right now. Ideally, you do not want to stay away from the crowd, which usually best to do what all.
Ultimately, hunters are judged solely on the horse, not the runner, then yes, you can wear black. It should not be punished for that, but when it comes to two identical waves with a cavalier fashion, and a non-traditional clothing, the victory is probably the best-dressed runners.
I have personally shown Hunter / Jumper for 7 years, but took 10 and I've never heard anything like it before. I've always been riding a black coat and has never been the countdown to her. Hunter / Jumper tend to what natural appearance, as a hunter green, black, dark blue, gray to use, and so on. The jacket of one color, so you can not red. Why? You have to earn it. Dressed in red, if they did not win, is very disrespectful.
Hunter Bridge coats usually black, dark blue Orr!
Personally, I like black and my mother is an AQHA judge and she said she has no clothes, which they diffrencce. Some people may be happy to show through, like a hand-me-down and they have a choice of colors!
